The Women’s Center, AdvanceVT, Graduate School, Women’s and Gender Studies program, and VT Women’s Alliance and Caucus look forward to meeting you to our annual Welcome Reception for New Women Colleagues. 

This program is a tradition and an informal opportunity for new women faculty, staff and graduate students at VT to gather as a community, to forge connections and networks, and to share resource information, and more. 

Please join us on Wednesday, September 8th @ 4-6PM at the Inn at Virginia Tech. Registration is required.
A Guide to Getting it On: A Consent Workshop
By now you've heard the message: consent is key in all of your interpersonal, romantic, and intimate interactions. ⁠

We know that we need it, but how do we ask? How do we answer? What do we do when the response is disappointing? Seeking, giving, refusing, and receiving consent are skills that we need to practice and develop in order to do them well. ⁠

Join us to talk about and practice consent, boundaries, and showing respect for those you want to get close to. No registration required. 
Ebony Women of Excellence
Ebony Women of Excellence is a support group for women that provides a safe community of peers that allows for authenticity, empathy, and relevant problem solving, specific to their experience as Black women. Our mission is to empower, inspire, and liberate Black women so that they may thrive in their fullest expression of truth, power, and embodiment.
