Dr. Hawaa Al Thahak Al Mansoori
UAE Federal National Council, Imperial College London Diabetes Center (Abu Dhabi), Sonostik LLC
H.E. Dr. Hawaa Althahak Almansoori is a Member of the UAE’s Federal National Council, Consultant Endocrinologist, Healthcare Leader, Inventor and Entrepreneur. She was the first Emirati to be awarded a prestigious UAE Presidential Scholarship to study Medicine. She went on to graduate from George Washington University School of Medicine. In 2014 she received “The UAE Pioneers Award” from H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and was presented at the UAE Government Summit by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan as an example of success in education and innovation. In addition to her role as part of the UAE’s Government’s Parliamentary body, Dr. Hawaa is Chairman of SonoStik LLC; a venture stage MedTech company founded to commercialize her patented and FDA approved invention. She also works for Mubadala as Deputy Medical Director of Imperial College London Diabetes Center and is a practicing Endocrinologist. She is involved in national initiatives to promote STEM education, empower Emirati women and encourage enterprise by Emirati youth.
Saleha Osmani
Chair, 100 Women in Finance Middle East Committee
Prior to founding Capital Advisory Group, Ms Osmani served most recently as Managing Director and Head of Cap Intro and Prime Brokerage Sales for the Middle East at Societe Generale With nearly 20 years of industry experience, she has deep familiarity across a broad range of alternative investment strategies and all aspects of manager selection, fund marketing and capital placements Having served earlier in her career as a buy side fund of funds analyst, Ms Osmani joined Calyon Financial in 2007 as Head of Capital Introductions and Business Development for the Middle East and North Africa ( Initially based in London, she moved to Dubai in 2008 following Calyon’s merger with Fimat to form Newedge to help establish the firm’s initial UAE office In 2014 following the integration of Newedge into Societe Generale her responsibilities were expanded to include running Global Markets Sales to sovereign wealth funds in the Middle East in addition to her Prime Services role Ms Osmani is a past recipient of the Alternative Investment Management group’s award for ‘Best Capital Introduction Specialist’ and in 2017 was named one of 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds globally by The Hedge Fund Journal In addition, she has chaired the Middle East committee of 100 Women in Finance since 2015 when the location was established, and has served in the past as an executive committee member of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA)’s Middle East chapter.
