Adult Religious Education

FUSW Book Discussion Group, First meeting Sunday, Mar 29, 12:00pm
Our minister, Viola Abbitt, will lead three monthly discussions of books that we'll examine within the context of Unitarian Universalism. The first title is An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz, this year’s UUA Common Read ,” which looks at the history of our country from a radically different perspective than the popular narrative.

Future discussions will be Sunday, Apr 19 for Active Hope: How to Face the Mess We're in Without Going Crazy by Johanna Macy & Chris Johnstone; and Sunday, May 31 for A History of Religion in 5½ Objects: Bringing the Spiritual to Its Senses by S. Brent Plate.

Participate in one discussion or all three. Add your name to the signup sheet on the bulletin board or email Viola ( minister@fusw.org ). If you would like us to order a book for you, contact the office ( admin@fusw.org ) at least three weeks before the discussion; Rina will find the best price and let you know once the order is placed.
Cover Your Cough

It's cold and flu season! Help us prevent the spread of germs in our congregation. Remember to cough or sneeze into a tissue or your upper arm, not into your hand. And clean your hands often. Learn more HERE .
From the Minister

There are so many of you that I would like to get to know, but because of my limited time here I am not able to initiate a lot of interaction. I encourage you to reach out to me if you have something to discuss, would like feedback, or just want to sit and talk. Reach me at minister@fusw.org or 914-478-2710 to make an appointment. I am at FUSW most Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I'd love to hear from you!
