100 Year Celebration

Celebrating God’s Faithfulness! Join us for a time of remembering and celebration as we celebrate 100 years of the OCCS Monica Society/Tiger Paws. Current and Associate members, meet at the Tiger Paws White Tent on Friday, May 20 at 8:30 a.m. for fellowship.


Calling all associate and current Orange City Christian School Tiger Paws (Monica) members! You are invited to walk along with the OCCS float for the Friday afternoon parade on May 20 as we celebrate 100 years of Monica, now Tiger Paws. Meet at the OCCS float at 2:00 p.m. (Located on Colorado Ave, south of 3rd Street.).

The Tulip Festival is THIS WEEK! Please review the tent and pie assignments and put them on your calendars. Any final changes to these schedules should be emailed to occsmonica@gmail.com.

TENT SET UP AND TAKE DOWN: All Tiger PAWS members are strongly encouraged to help the committee with either tent set up or tear down. Tent tear down is on Saturday May 21 from 7:30-9:00 pm. Please consider helping on Saturday night with bringing back supplies to school if you did not help last night. Thank you!

                     

Pies: Please bring cooled pies, covered in saran wrap and labeled with the type of pie, to the pie trailer found North of the tent the morning of your scheduled shift. It will be open at 7:45 am each day of the Festival. When you drop off your pies, be sure to cross your name off the list located on the door of the trailer.   More pies are needed for Thursday and Saturday.  Please let Nancy Kroeze know if you are willing to help by bringing pies on these two days. Checklist for your shift:

  • Morning of your shift: Drop off pies— pies should be covered in Saran Wrap and labeled with type of pie (please leave warm pies uncovered)-mark off your name on the trailer door — Trailer opens at 7:45 am each day 
  • Sign in with your arrival time and phone number for health code at the back of the tent
  • Wear a hat, hair net, or tie hair back when you come to the tent
  • Put on a name tag, blue apron, wash your hands and put on gloves if serving food. 
  • Check in with the person you are taking over for further instructions or see someone with a red apron 
  • At the end of your shift please sign out with your departure time 


Parking reminder: Please respect the parking spots north of the tent. These are property of Bengard and Associates and we need to respect their business during the festival this week. Also please do not park in Don’s parking lot during the setup of the tent, your shift or clean up. Thank you for respecting their business as well during the festival.   


Extra Food: If you are interested in extra food items, they will be available at the Tent on Saturday night from 7:30-8:00 only.   A donation is appreciated at the time of pickup. First come, first served. Tent committee will be handling this so please do not call the school Kitchen or Office.
