The moment has come! It's time to plan your entries for Books as Art 2, our second major exhibition of books by Guild members. The show is scheduled for June 2 through 30 at the Well Street Art Company here in Fairbanks. This group exhibition will explore books as art and welcomes a wide spectrum of handcrafted book forms. They may be editioned or unique, sculptural or more traditionally bound, interactive or passive.
Our January meeting will focus on an overview of artist books to help each of us generate ideas for books of our own. We'll discuss categories of book structures and, in a hands-on
activity, create a foldable-book with ideas and strategies to guide our inspiration.
