Keep MO from throwing away money!
MO Counts, so Count MO!

Our community loses $1300 in vital services and resources for every person not counted in the census. In 2010 Missouri lost millions of dollars in federal funds and a congressional seat. Many of our network partners depend on census-based funds to do their work and help our citizens. Every Missourian must be counted to ensure we receive the state and federal funding that supports infrastructure, transportation, social services, education, even our representation in the legislature.

This month you should receive mail informing you of how to respond to the census. Please inform and help those who may not understand the significance so that every Missourian will be counted! Learn more about the 2020 census and its impact here .

Administrative Assistant Needed

We hated to say goodbye to Julie Eller, our previous assistant, but she had pressing family matters that needed her full-time attention. We are looking for a dependable, organized problem solver proficient in MS Office to bring data entry and bookkeeping skills to our small but mighty team. If you are able to work 20-25 hours a week and fill the job description requirements, please send your resume and cover letter to Donna.Noe@unitedwayofsemo.org. We need someone who is interested only in part-time work; this will not become full-time.

Did you 'Step-up' this year? Right on!
All donors who 'stepped up' their donation by $1 per week or joined us as a new donor giving at least $52 this year are entered into the drawing for Step-up Prizes donated to UWSEMO. These include Rhodes gas cards, a Drury hotel stay, and gift cards for many area businesses and restaurants. If you are a Step-up Donor, keep an eye on our Facebook page . We will announce winners every day for 14 days leading up to Celebration. It could be your name pulled to collect a wonderful thank-you at Celebration on April 23rd!

Leadership Donor?
This year we are creating a special thank-you for our Leadership Donors (those who give $500 or more). With a nod to our 1970 launch as a United Way, every Leadership Donor will get a groovy tie-dyed T-shirt celebrating our 50th year of Living United. Leadership Donors also can choose a solid colored LIVE UNITED shirt if tie dye isn't your groove. Anyone who gave $500 or more and wants either shirt should send your name and T-shirt size to Holly Statler, Director of Donor Development, by March 13. Both styles of shirts also will be available for purchase at Celebration.
