Learning Objectives
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:
- Summarize the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations for human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination.
- Review Massachusetts HPV vaccination uptake.
- Describe vaccination challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Discuss strategies to get HPV vaccination "back on track."

*Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine: What Healthcare Providers Need to Know *Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine: What Healthcare Professionals Need to Know
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has developed web-based, on-demand training modules outlining best practices and principles for healthcare professionals when preparing to administer COVID-19 vaccines. The training module, "General Overview of Best Practices for Healthcare Professionals," is a high-level overview of the following topics with links to detailed information: vaccine development and safety, safety monitoring programs, Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs), vaccine storage/handling, preparation, administration, PPE, scheduling, documentation, and reporting adverse events. Information on each vaccine product will be added as each is authorized by FDA. Click here to access this module.
The training module, "Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine: What Healthcare Providers Need to Know," will provide information to healthcare professionals about COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by Moderna, Inc., based on the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and guidance from the manufacturer.
