John Kriesel somehow survived a roadside bombing that claimed his legs and killed two of his best friends. The guy who wasn't supposed to survive and was told he probably would be in a wheelchair the rest of his life walked out of Walter Reed Army Medical Center after nine months.  Join us at our March Membership Luncheon to hear Kriesel's powerful message of hope and learn t he value of a positive attitude to overcome any challenge.  Kriesel is the director of veteran services for Anoka County, a part-time personality on KFAN Radio, and co-author of the book, " Still Standing: The Story of SSG John Kriesel," winner of 8 national book awards.

Rhythm On The Rails 2020

Rhythm on the Rails is a FREE summer concert series that takes place from 6:00PM-9:00PM on five Wednesday evenings in July and August. Held on Lewis Street in Downtown Shakopee, Rhythm on the Rails features top-notch live music, family fun, food and brew vendors, and more! Each concert kicks off with a local act, followed by a not-to-miss regional headliner. Attendees can purchase food and drink tickets to be used at a variety of vendors, enjoy a free kids zone with inflatables and face painting, browse the unique local stores, and experience the history of Downtown Shakopee - all while listening to live music throughout the night.
