WHAT'S HAPPENING AT CAMP?

"Generosity In Action"
You know what generosity in action looks like? It looks like Camp's new warming house! Tune in to this month's edition of the Eyewitness News to find out why.
"So, how is Camp Lebanon doing? I mean, really?"
For eight months, it’s been the most frequently asked question. And we are so thankful! In these uncertain days of COVID and social unrest, this question comes to us like a BIG HUG from friends and guests who deeply care about Camp’s ministry. What’s more, sharing the honest answer leads to encouraging conversations about our vision and God’s provision. In short, we are stressed, blessed, and focused.
Winter Family Resort!
Camp Lebanon in the winter is every bit “The Home of the Funnest Fun!” So round up the family and join the action at our first-ever Winter Family Resort. Capacity is limited to 15 families per weekend!

WINTER FAMILY RESORT WEEKEND 2
Jan 8-10
Celebrating 30 Years of "WOO-HOO!"
The weekend was November 7-9, 1990. The place was Camp Lebanon and its brand new hotel-like Cedar Bay Lodge. Who could have guessed that those first thirty quilters and stitchers would thirty years later swell into 1100+ women welcomed each year to four spring retreats, one Summer Sew, and five fall sessions! Featuring an amazing team of volunteer instructors and active partnerships with quilt shops from across the state, Quilt & Craft grew into one of Camp’s most cherished events supported by Camp’s most generous friends. The founding core principles of accuracy and quality instruction helped women at all levels progress in their skills. More significantly, the embrace of Camp’s mission as a Bible camp took center stage in encouraging women to run to the Word of God for life and hope. The pandemic shutdowns may have downsized this fall’s celebration of “The Blessing!” but all can agree, “To God be the glory! Great things He has done!”

New Warming House!
Check it out, Camp has a new warming house! Designed to increase guests' enjoyment of outdoor winter activities, the house will be the perfect place for lacing up ice skates or taking a quick break from the cold. But wait, there's more! The warming house is on wheels. An added benefit of being built on a trailer is that we'll be able to place it in a beautiful location this summer and use it as a creation center/cabin gathering area in the woods. Thank you to the volunteers who donated their time to build this new blessing and the friends who provided the financial backing!
Christmas Blessing - EMERGE Mother's Academy

"Thank you & the quilters again for making our Christmas Boutique so special. We are excited for the Boutique, full of books & toys, next week. Everything paid for, for the moms to come and shop at no cost. What a blessing. THANK YOU!"

Spring Quilt & Craft Retreats
March 4-30, 2021
Stitching together a delightful variety of work time, instruction, delicious meals, and fellowship, it is no surprise that Camp Lebanon is one of Minnesota’s favorite destinations for quilting and scrapbooking. Weekend and mid-week sessions in the spring and fall give women many options for a high-quality retreat experience.
Due to the unusual circumstances of these times, we opted to again offer a Group “Pre-Booking” Registration for the spring/summer retreats. As a result, some of the spring sessions are already filled. The current status of these events is listed below. You may add your name to the waiting list for any full event; we will contact you if space opens up. We hope to return to our normal registration process for the fall retreats! Thank you for your understanding.

It's Back! Gypsy Wife Quilt-Along
Join an enthusiastic group of quilters on an exciting “quilt-along” adventure as you create this beautiful quilt by Australian designer Jen Kingwell. We are sew very excited to offer this special quilt project again in 2021! Many of you have expressed interest in making this quilt and this seems to be the perfect time. Jump into something fun that also gives you an opportunity to connect with other quilters by email, if you wish, as you piece the blocks month by month.
An extensive packet of information, labels, tips, and spreadsheets has been developed to help make the organization, construction, and assembly of this quilt so much easier. PATTERN & ORGANIZATIONAL KIT: $35 (prepay with registration); mailed with confirmation packet.

NOTE: Helpful instruction will be offered for some of the most challenging blocks at both our SPRING and SUMMER quilt retreats in 2021. However, you do NOT have to attend the spring retreat to join us for this year-long quilt project. Please contact Lisa Abeler (labeler@camplebanon.org) by January 15 if you are interested in signing up for this class. Class materials will be mailed in February and the project will begin the first week of March.
