Republic School District Families and Employees,

The following positive COVID19 cases were self-reported over Winter Break, December 23-January 4. Take note that this will be the only notification of these positives. Individual building notifications for employees and families will not be done for these cases as the quarantine period cases have either ended or those positive were never at school when contagious. However, moving forward we will resume those individual building notifications.

We are excited to welcome our students back to school tomorrow, January 5 for second semester!

RHS: Nine students and one employee were never at school when contagious. One student was last at school when contagious on 12/17, one on 12/18 and two more on 12/22. One employee was last at work when contagious 12/22 and another on 12/23.

For future reference, at the direction of the Springfield-Greene County Health Department all individuals considered low-risk exposures to the individuals who tested positive will be contacted by school via email as they are eligible for a modified quarantine (Can attend school, ride the bus and attend STRIPES, but must quarantine outside of school.). Any high-risk, unmasked exposures who were exposed that need to traditionally quarantine will be called individually by a district employee or by Maximus (3rd party on behalf of Greene-County Health Department).
Information in regards to the district's response to COVID19 (including a weekly case tracker) can be found at https://www.republicschools.org/healthupdates. Also, the graphic below outlines quarantine protocols. Thank you for your support and flexibility as we navigate this time.
