Deborah Pace


 

Deborah A. Pacé is an award winning Multi/Mixed Media Artist and Certified Zentangle Teacher. Deborah is a published author "Creating Mandalas: How to Draw and Design Zendala Art" and has also been published in two North Light Books: “ZenDoodles: Tons of Tangles” and "ZenDoodles: Oodles of Doodles. Her illustrations and artwork have been featured in Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine, and Zendoodle Workshop. She has also been on Creative Living with Shery Borden. Deborah is also a quilt artist, designer, and fiber artist. She is currently working on designing a Tangle Pattern Market Bag for sale in the near future. Map Tangling 

Map Tangling is a Zentangle Inspired Art that combines watercolors with tangle patterns.  Using watercolors to create unexpected strings, you will then tangle on them with pen and ink for colorful results and see what emerges.  


In This Workshop Participants Will:

  • Learn how to create beautiful watercolor backgrounds.
  • Adapt watercolor techniques to a variet of papers.
  • Create wonderful tangled patterns with paint and pens!
  • Create stunning designs by adding black paper.

Recommended

Particpants should be familiar with the Zentangle® method. Basic Zentangle classes are offered through TangleU.com. 

Supplies:

  • Basic Zentangle Supplies (01 Micron or PN Pen, #2 Pencil, Tortillon)
  • Twinkling H2Os or similar (at least three colors)
  • #12 Watercolor Brush
  • Tub of water 
  • Paper Towels
  • DecoColor paint pen (Gold and/or Silver)
  • 2 EACH - 2”X2”, 3-1/2” X3-1/2”, 3”X 5”, 4-1/2” diameter circle from140# watercolor paper or similar
  • 1 – Black Zendala Tile or 4.5 inch circle of black bristol or cardstock
  • Deckled Edge Scissors

Optional:

  • Heat Gun/Dryer
  • White Gell Pen
