Call for nominations: UBCM Executive
A Call for Nominations has been issued to local elected officials wishing to serve on the 2020-2021 UBCM Executive. Please note the significant changes for the 2020 Nominations and Elections, including that nominations will not be accepted off the floor at the virtual Convention. The deadline for all nominations is Friday, July 31, 2020. Read more

2020 UBCM convention registration
The 2020 Annual Convention will be held virtually September 22-24. Registration will open Monday July 6. Early Bird Member Registration has been reduced to $350 and Non Member Registration remains unchanged at $1,000. Read more

Provincial actions on strata insurance
The Province has introduced legislation as "first steps" to address rising strata insurance costs after the release of an interim report by the BC Financial Services Authority that detailed issues underlying the rising costs. The BCFSA will be releasing a final report in the fall of 2020, and further regulatory changes may occur following stakeholder consultation.
