Dear Squash Community,

Squash BC’s primary concern is the health and well-being of the entire squash community. We continue to monitor the developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and follow the guidelines provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
Yesterday, on March 18 th , the BC government declared a state of emergency to support the COVID-19 response.  https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2020PSSG0017-000511

Further to previous communications, Squash BC has postponed all sanctioned events (including tournaments and leagues) up to early May, as listed on our Event Calendar page. We are monitoring the situation and with any new updates on the developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we may need to make further changes.

We continue to work with member and non-member affiliated clubs and have sent out a communication to immediately temporarily suspend all squash activities due to the confined space in which the game is played. We ask that athletes and coaches temporarily suspend their activity on the confined space of the squash court to ensure your safety and the health of your community.

Many clubs and facilities around the province have already closed their doors and various spring break camps have now halted their activities due to the declared state of emergency.
Let’s all work together and play our part in supporting this COVID-19 response.

Stay home, keep healthy, and remain informed!
