MARCH 2022 NEWSLETTER

Jenny Armstrong, MSN, CRNP, NP-BC is a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner joining us from Christiana Care Health System.

During her time there, she worked in the Emergency Department - providing exceptional, patient-centered, evidence-based care. This equipped her with extensive experience cultivating relationships with patients through assessment, diagnoses, and management. She is well versed in the evaluation of chronic conditions, well visits, acute visits, follow-ups, and managing patient emergencies.

Jenny earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. She will be seeing patients in collaboration with Dr. Mazzotti.

Holly Murphy

MS, RD, LDN, IBCLC

Our registered dietician, Holly Murphy, is available for telemedicine nutrition visits. Holly provides medical nutrition therapy for patients with diseases such as diabetes, chronic kidney disease and obesity. She also works with patients to create custom dietary plans and counseling.

Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Colorectal cancer is cancer of the colon or rectum. This year, more than 145,600 Americans will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer and more than 51,000 will die of the disease.

Screening tests, including colonoscopy and stool-based tests, can detect colorectal cancer early, when it can be more easily and successfully treated. Screening is recommended for average-risk people starting at age 45.

Shannon O’Brien is a licensed medical esthetician with over 17 years of experience.

Prior to joining Dermacenter, Shannon worked as an Esthetician at several different medical spas, laser studios, and salons. Over the years, she has perfected performing laser treatments, microdermabrasions, chemical peels, VelaShape cellulite therapy, and more – for all skin types! She earned her esthetic license at Venus Beauty School in 2000 while simultaneously earning her BA in Early Childhood Education.
