In addition to all of the award-winning shopping and dining on and around State Street, you'll want to check out the Cannery Row neighborhood, near Victory Brewing, Café de Thai, and La Peña Mexicana. TEXTILE is a hidden gem offering a beautifully curated collection of vintage and contemporary clothing as well as stationery. Cannery Row is also the home of Yoga Secrets, Kennett's community yoga studio, and Revolution BJJ, Boxing, and Fitness. While you're there, stop in at Evergreen Café & Bakery to indulge in a handcrafted pastry or smoothie.
In the Birch Street neighborhood, worKS is like a new shop every weekend with beautiful plants, flowers, gourmet treats, and vintage and artisan goods from 25 different vendors. You can walk along the trail between worKS and The Creamery, where every weekend you'll find live music, axe-throwing, food, drink, and fun for the whole family. Braeloch Brewing is another great place to hang out, meet friends, and enjoy live music and great made-on-the-premises craft beer.
And don't forget the Country Butcher on South Walnut-your one-stop shop for the finest cheese, meat, and gourmet goods and a great place for breakfast or lunch as well. The Produce Place next door is your best bet for fresh fruit, vegetables, and vitamin-packed smoothies to keep the cold germs at bay.
Stop in to the Square Pear Gallery on Thursday, January 17th, for the opening reception of "Winter Days" and enjoy the beauty of this winter season. The show features winter-inspired work by a dozen local and regional artists. From the annual KATS pantomime to the KSQ Farmers Market this Friday the 17th (there will also be a market on January 31st), and the MLK breakfast and day of service on Monday, there's lots to experience here in town this weekend.
Throughout the winter season, it's more important than ever to support all of our local, independently owned businesses that help to make our town such a great place to live, work, and play. #shopksq #exploreksq
We look forward to seeing you Around the Square!
