Dear golf course owners and managers,

The Government of Québec announced on May 4 that it will no longer be mandatory to wear a mask in many indoor facilities or partially covered public places as of May 14.

This means that your customers and employees will no longer be required to wear masks in your establishments in food service areas, pro shops, locker rooms, and other indoor spaces, whether for regular activities or for special and private events.

The choice to wear a mask in these areas remains at the discretion of each person, both customers and employees. The public is invited to respect those who wish to continue to use this option to protect themselves effectively against COVID-19.

Exceptions:

• People who were infected with COVID-19 must wear a mask in all social interactions following their isolation, for at least five more days following their isolation at home.
• Citizens living with a person with COVID-19 must wear it for 10 days.

Health measures:

• Hand washing remains a basic health measure.
• Physical distancing is no longer mandatory but remains a recommended practice.
