The Civic Leadership Forum: The Census Education was successfully held by Ding Ding TV and India Currents on Jan 23rd. The forum was supported by CLASS and partnership with the Ethnic Media Service.
During the panel discussion, one of the panelists, Monica Tong, said the most undercounted populations in the 2010 census were youth, specifically children ages from zero to five, since many the parents didn't realize everyone should be included, including the children. When children are undercounted, the federal funds won't be distributed accurately according to their children’s needs of growing up in the following decade.
