Dear Lovejoy Families,

Happy Thursday! You can definitely tell that spring is in the air in Texas with our fluctuating temperatures. We are extremely proud that Lovejoy Elementary had thirteen pieces selected for the 5th Annual Lovejoy Portrait Show at the Lovejoy High School Art Gallery by a blind jury. Congratulations to Ms. Rivera and the following students being for being showcased.

From First Grade, we have pieces of art displayed by John McGough, Kallie Owens, Savannah McLean, and Blaine Valgren.

Our Fourth Grade students who will be showcased are Addison McGuire, Kipton DuBois, Natalee Amabile, Annsley Dercks, Eloise White, Damen Zemaier, Peter McGough, Wyatt Sherry, and Charlie McClintock.

Way to go Lovejoy Elementary art students! We are very proud of you!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel to contact me at any time.

All My Best,

PTO Scholarship Application Available The Parent-Teacher Organizations in the Lovejoy Independent School District each will award one $500 scholarship to a college-bound senior graduating from Lovejoy High School in 2021. This centralized application means that each student completes the form ONCE, but is eligible for PTO scholarships through the Lovejoy schools they attended (plus the Lovejoy Council and Preschool PTO).

All student applicants (a) must have attended LHS during their sophomore, junior, and senior years; (b) belong to the LHS Parent-Teacher-Student Organization; (c) complete the online scholarship application, including the essays; (d) upload a resume; and (e) have one letters of recommendation submitted.

To begin the application process, students must complete a brief survey, located online at 2020-21 Scholarship INTENT TO APPLY. This survey, which requests their name and email address, indicates their intent to apply.

Once the above Intent to Apply survey is received, we will send the student a link to the online scholarship application. This link will allow students exit and return to the application in case they cannot complete it in one sitting.

THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MIDNIGHT FRIDAY APRIL 23, 2021

Please email Shannon Verschage at LJCouncilScholarship@gmail.com if you have any questions regarding this application.

Athletic Tickets
There has been some confusion in regards to ticket sales, as in the past all students and staff have been allowed in free to all athletic contests (with school ID).  Due to UIL covid-19 attendance capacity limitation regulations we are forced to charge for entrance to all athletic contests for all staff and students. The tickets sales assist the athletic department in keeping with the capacity limitations required of us. If you have questions, please contact the Lovejoy Athletic Office.
