Thank you! Let's celebrate our impact together at OVATION!
OVATION is United Way's opportunity to thank you for your generous community support!

This year we ask that you come and help us in honoring Sally Pritchard for her many years of service to our community. As of December Sally retired from her role as the VP of Community Impact at Spokane County United Way.

We look froward to having you as our guest to celebrate, enjoy networking, appetizers and refreshments by Nectar Catering, entertainment by local groups, and to honor Sally Pritchard.

This event is complimentary and we encourage you to bring friends for a night out at the Fox Theater.

Free Tax Preparation
In the last three years nearly 15,000 tax returns have been completed for free. This resulted in $17 million in refunds right here in Spokane County.

For the 2020 tax season there are 200 volunteers at nine locations, including a new site at the Spokane Resource Center. These volunteers are ready to assist you in preparing your taxes.

Some locations are by appointment only while others are a first come first served site.

You can visit MyFreeTaxes.Com to complete your taxes online.

Spokane County United Way's Emerging Leaders Society
The Emerging Leaders Society teamed with the Spokane County Young Lawyers Division and Whitworth MBA Alumni in December to host their annual Jingle N' Mingle event. Together they raised over $4,000 for Sally's House - Salvation Army of Spokane.

Sally's House is a partner program of United Way and is the only emergency short-term foster care program in Spokane County for abused and neglected children, ages 2-12.
Sally's House tells us one thing at the top of their list to purchase with the funds are some larger toys for summertime fun!

Canopy Credit Union Pops-up a Volunteer Event!
Employees at Canopy Credit Union worked together with United Way staff to pop-up a volunteer event in their lobby. Together they built hygiene bags that were used by volunteers conducting the Point in Time Count on January 23, 2020.

The Point in Time Count is crucial in allowing the City and County to receive the appropriate federal and state funding based on what the actual homeless population count results are. Click here to learn more about the Point In Time Count.
