We recently interviewed 2nd Lt. Bob Doolan, a WWII Navigator of a B-17. His plane was shot down and he evaded capture by the Germans for almost three weeks with the help of the Dutch Resistance. He was held as a POW in the same camp (Stalag Luft III) as Robert Kurtz, the focus of THE GREEN BOX film. He turns 104 this weekend, and we wish him HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It was fascinating to hear Mr. Doolan's story, and we look forward to sharing clips with you in our next newsletter, once edited with material from our recent interview with Lt. Col. Alexander Jefferson, a Tuskegee Airman who was also shot down and held POW at SLIII. Stay tuned!!!
