Sunday, March 15, 2020
11am, Rev. Anne Tabor

In his book, Prosperity, Unity Co-Founder Charles Fillmore writes, "In the great Mind of God there is no thought of lack, and such a thought has no rightful place in your mind. It is our birthright to be prosperous, regardless of who you are or where you may be." These powerful words remind us that from a spiritual perspective asking is really more about choosing. And this is very good news! Join Rev. Anne for the first in her three-part Sunday Message Series, The Road to Prosperity, as we explore what it means to manifest your true heart's desires.

Now it is time to seek by taking the vital steps to explore options to do the work Spirit inspires us to do! Join Rev. Anne as we focus on what it means to clear the way for the Good of God to express in your life!

Information for Our Beloved Community on  COVID-19

Dear Friends,

We are continuing to closely monitor information about the coronavirus (COVID-19). Unity Worldwide Ministries recently sent suggestions based on instructions from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). We would like to thoughtfully and mindfully share this information with the intention of keeping us all healthy and happy!

With the increased publicity around the coronavirus, the Centers for Disease Control has recommended that everyone give intentional thought to being prepared.

Practice Prayer

The first and most important step is always prayer. We know that our consciousness makes a difference and one of the greatest gifts Unity offers is affirmative prayer.

We invite you to join in the following prayer or one of your own choosing.

We know that God is a Love that has no end and a Power that knows no bounds. God's healing power of Divine Life is restoring, healing, and revitalizing our world in this very moment. We let go of any fears or anxieties, and we affirm that all are safe, healthy, and protected. We bless all those who support us in maintaining vibrant radiant health. We express Divine Life in all we think, say, and do. We bless our global family with radiant health, peace of mind, and abundant love. And so it is. Amen.

Practice Basic Prevention Steps

We ask that:
  • You wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • You protect coughs by coughing and sneezing into your elbow and/or a tissue.
  • If you are not feeling well, please stay home.
  • If you do attend church, we ask that you do not exchange hugs or handshakes. We've got lots of fun alternative greetings to practice!
We are:
  • Cleaning and sanitizing hard surfaces.
  • Making new antibacterial soap dispensers and hand sanitizers available around our campus, as well as disinfectant wipes.
We assure you that we will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed as things evolve.  During these times of challenge, we are here to love each other and lift each other up!

In Love and Unity,

Rev Anne Tabor and Your Board of Trustees

Have You Heard About this Year's
YFM Easter Service Project?

Each year the YFM has a service project at Easter. This year we are making birthday bags for Community Crossroads. Community Crossroads provides a food pantry, clothing, dental services, and much more. A birthday bag will provide someone with the items needed to celebrate their birthday. YFM is accepting donations for the bags. We will decorate the bags and place items in each one. We do not need bags...only the items to go in the bags.

Below is a list of items each bag must have and items that can be added.  Please bring the items you are donating to the Admin Building no later than Sunday, March 29th. Weekday office hours for the Admin Building are Tuesday-Thursday, 10-4. As always, we thank you for your love and support.

Items for each birthday bag:
cake mix (prefer white or chocolate)
tub of icing
small bottle of oil

Additional items we can use:
plates and cups (birthday themes)
birthday decorations
party hats
candles
aluminum cake pans
party horns or noisemakers

Please contact Janette Jordan, 817-832-6251, janettejordan1981@gmail.com
for more details.
2020 Unity of Arlington Prayer Chaplains

L to R: NaOra Horton (Co-Lead), Rebecca Rickey (Co-Lead),
Nita O'Neal Rev. Anne Tabor, Theresa Riggs, Marti Alley

Reverend Anne Tabor, M.Div., is available by appointment for spiritual counseling sessions at Unity of Arlington in a safe and supportive environment. As an ordained Unity minister, Rev. Anne, offers spiritual counseling to individuals seeking
a deeper understanding of themselves and their divine power within to solve life's challenges. Spiritual counseling can help if there is a need for inspiration, crisis support, or healing in any area of your life.  Prayer and meditation are an integral part of Unity's spiritual principles, and an essential practice in realizing the answers we seek. We believe in the transformative power of affirmative prayer. You are a unique expression of God. Spiritual counseling will remind you of that!

Spiritual counseling is offered on a love offering basis. While no specific fee is expected or suggested, we do invite each person to leave a love offering. For more details, please call the church office 817-467-5151.
Youth & Family Ministry

YFM classes meet in the Administration building, next to the Sanctuary, during the 11am Sunday Celebration Service. All children up to 14 years old must be signed in by an adult.  Our classes begin at 11:00 am, but children may arrive as early as 10:30 am. The Youth & Family Ministry at Unity of Arlington includes interactive educational programs for youth ages 4-18, as well as, a
Nursery for infants and toddlers. We believe in learning through fun!

Unikids (pre-k, age 4 through 5th grade)

Children meet each Sunday morning during the 11:00 am service to explore spiritual truths through a Living Curriculum specifically designed to introduce them to the Unity Principles through interactive, fun activities, and meet their individual learning needs.

Uniteens (6th through 8 grade)

Our Uniteen group meets each Sunday to explore spiritual truths and how these truths relate to their personal lives. This is a safe place for youth in their preteen years (middle school) to connect with others and explore what they believe.  Our Uniteens attend weekend Unitreats for fellowship, lots of fun, and a chance to share their ideas and experiences with other Uniteens in the region.

Y.O.U. - Youth of Unity  (9th through 12th grade)

Youth of Unity (Y.O.U.) is an active teen ministry for high school students.
Teens gather on Sunday to explore and discover spiritual truths and learn how these truths  relate to their lives.  Our teens have the opportunity to attend weekend regional rallies for fellowship and sharing their ideas and experiences with other teens in the region.
What is a CONNECTION CARD?

In the foyer of the Sanctuary there is a clear plastic box upon which you will find CONNECTION CARDS. These handy-dandy items are one way to let us know if your contact information has changed. If you have moved, gotten a new phone number, or changed email address in the last year, please fill out one of the cards and deposit it in the Connection Box and we will gladly update your info!

Additionally, the card is a great way for you to let us know you would like more information on some aspect of community life here at Unity of Arlington.

UNITY'S FIVE BASIC PRINCIPLES

Principle #1:
There is only one Presence and one Power in the Universe and in my life,
God the Good.

Principle #2:
Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.
Their essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.

Principle #3:
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.
Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

Principle #4:
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

Principle #5:
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.
A person must live the truth he or she knows.

CORE VALUES

Spirit-Led:
Centered in the awareness of God's presence, we turn within for divine guidance in  all we do.

Love:
Love is our True Nature. We express the harmonizing power of love to
see good everywhere and in everybody. Love binds together the whole
human family.

Diversity:
We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. In a spirit of Unity,
we embrace each person as an expression of God grounded in truth and love.

Connection:
We live, love, and laugh from our Oneness with God. We honor our inter-connectedness with each other, with all life, and the earth.

Abundance:
God is our Infinite Source of Good. We gratefully demonstrate prosperity in all areas of our lives. We wisely use our wealth of resources to serve our spiritual community and the world.

Service:
We cultivate enlightened leadership by practicing the teachings of Jesus the Christ through sacred service. It is a blessing to serve locally and globally.

Integrity:
We consciously choose to practice living our Core Values and Unity Principles rather than simply professing them. We choose to communicate from the heart with authenticity and deliver on our commitments with reliability.
