Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

While we all wish COVID was a memory, it is still a very present part of our daily lives. We are working hard to provide the students more "normal" activities while making sure that everyone in our school community remains safe and healthy. Please review the information below regarding illness protocols.

All individuals must remain at home when sick or experiencing any symptoms to minimize the chance of spreading COVID-19. Families are obligated to report COVID-19 diagnoses, COVID-19 symptoms or close contact cases to the principal.
Students and staff need to isolate or quarantine under the following circumstances:
  • A positive COVID test
  • Potential COVID symptoms without a test or awaiting test results

When you call your student out sick,
  • Report all symptoms student is experiencing to the office.
  • All siblings must remain home as well.
  • If symptoms subside within 24 hours, student and siblings can return to school as long as siblings are not experiencing any symptoms.
  • If symptoms do not subside within 24 hours, the student must go for a COVID test or alternate diagnosis with a doctor. Siblings must remain at home.
  • If COVID test is negative and/or there is an alternative diagnosis, siblings can return to school as long as they are not exhibiting symptoms.
  • Student can return with the negative COVID test and/or alternate diagnosis once he/she is fever free for 24 hours (no fever reducing meds) and symptoms have subsided at least 75%.

If a student or household member receives a positive COVID result, immediately call or email me.

These protocols are in place to protect our entire school community, to keep our students and staff healthy, and to enable us to continue in person learning.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

St. Edward, pray for us!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Sara Lasica
Principal

COVID Testing Information

Thank you for your help in keeping our community safe and our students learning in person and together this year!

What is TRIP?

TRIP (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program) helps families lower tuition payments at no cost to the family! Purchase physical or e-gift cards through the Raise Right app at face value. A percentage of the purchase price of the card is donated back to your family's tuition account by the various vendors. Raise Right sells gift cards and e-gift cards for gas, grocery, stores, restaurants, hotels, and many other businesses. We have families who earn hundreds of dollars in tuition each year!

You can purchase e-gift cards anytime on the app or purchase physical gift cards through the school office. TRIP orders are processed the second and fourth Thursdays each month.

News from St. Edward Parish
Family Fellowship Sunday and Children’s Liturgy of the Word Return!

Continuing every Sunday at the 9:30 Mass, St. Ed’s will once again offer our Children’s Liturgy of the Word ministry. This ministry welcomes all potty-trained children who have yet to receive their First Communion to listen to and engage with the Sunday readings in more child-friendly language. This also allows parents to better focus on the Word of God. The children return to their families in time for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. We hope to see your little ones there!
