Three current members of our Program for Excellence in Municipal Management (PEMM) were on the front lines on January 6, risking their lives to protect members of Congress and our democracy from violent mobs of insurrectionists. Seven PEMM alumni also risked their lives to protect our freedoms.

NAPLP Scholars Address United Nations on Indigenous Education

Three Indigenous students enrolled in the spring 2021 session of the Native American Political Leadership Program (NAPLP), and the director of The AT&T Center for Indigenous Politics and Policy, participated in the webinar “The United Nations and Indigenous Peoples: Advocating for Education.” They shared their educational journeys and experiences with the UN and listeners around the world.

SUP Alumna Selected as 2021 Climate Ambassador
Congratulations to Fjollë Caka ‘18, a Sustainable Urban Planning (SUP) alumna in GW’s College of Professional Studies, on her selection as a 2021 Climate Ambassador of the Global Youth Climate Network (GYCN). She will raise awareness about climate change as part of an initiative of young professionals in her home country of Kosovo.

GW is hosting its inaugural Digital Health Summit focused on the rapid acceleration of digital technologies in healthcare and the implications for healthcare and academic environments alike.
