Know Their Tricks - Don't Get Scammed
Generally, scammers will:
  • Pretend to be calling from a company you’ve heard of, or even from the credit union
  • Insist that there is a big problem (or prize!) requiring payment
  • Pressure you to act immediately, sometimes through yelling and threats
  • Insist that you pay them in a specific way, often through purchasing a gift card or using a money transfer service (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Wire, Western Union, etc.)
