Principal's Message

Dear Greenbriar families,

The theme of this school year has definitely been "doing our best with the information we have at the time" and the County Fair was no exception. I wish we could have come together last night as the weather ended up being beautiful, but we've learned to be flexible and roll with the punches these last couple of years. We're excited to host the Cake Walk during P.E. classes today and bring the dunk tank to our 5th graders on Tuesday. HUGE thanks to our PTO team for all of their work organizing and reorganizing for this event.

Please stop by our dismissal area off of Greenbriar Lane today between 3:15-4:00. We'll be selling new and gently used spirit wear for reduced prices. There are lots of great things to check out including clothing, stuffed Krieger dolls, water bottles, car magnets, and more!

We'll also make one more effort to reunite lost items with their owners by putting out our lost and found out during dismissal today and on Tuesday. We've already returned anything with a name in it to its owner. After Wednesday, we will donate the remaining items.

As this is our last Gazette of the year, I'd like to thank this community, once again, for continuing to weather the COVID storm with us and for your constant support. Our students made incredible growth this year and we managed to have some fun as well. We look forward to getting back to more normalcy next year. If your last child is leaving Greenbriar this year, please know that we will miss having you as a part of this community. Once a Greyhound, always a Greyhound.

Have a great, long weekend and a safe and relaxing summer!

Ginny

County Fair:

Thank you to all of those who dedicated so much time and effort behind the scenes for County Fair. Given the constantly changing weather, we had to make the safest decision with the information we had at the time and let vendors know. We are so thrilled to still be able to have a cake walk, inflatable fun during Field Day, and of course the dunk tank.

There still is much for the students to be excited about! Thank you to all who bought or made baked goods!

Thank you to the following individuals on the committee for their tireless behind the scene efforts: Lori Green, Shelly O'Regan, Nicole Frain, Marie Junkmann, Brooke Carlson, Rachel Copenhaver, Jacqueline Hart, Jessica Kray, and Barbara Rajchel.

Also, thank you so much to Ginny Hiltz for helping us come up with a Plan B on some of the beloved events~ The cake walk will still take place and the dunk tank for the 5th graders!

We look forward to bringing back events next year!

Birthday Signs:

A big thank you goes to Cari Stoneburner for signing up to do birthday signs. Thank you for taking on this beloved tradition!
