Taps, Toilets, and Good Hygiene: Critical Ingredients for Resilient Agriculture
By Mai-Lan Ha, Senior Researcher
|
Achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals is the imperative of our lifetime, writes Ms. Ha. And these cannot be achieved without integrating climate change adaptation and resilience into planning processes. One of the sectors that will see the most significant impacts from climate change will be agriculture. In order to be resilient, companies will need to tackle water, sanitation, and hygiene provision deep in their supply chains, reaching down to the farm level where action can have the greatest impact on workers’ health and well-being.
