CAWA Scholarship Opportunity for High Schools with Automotive Programs!

The oftentimes forgotten individuals in educating and training students in preparation for automotive careers is the high school automotive teacher. Whether it's their use of personal funds to keep their programs going or their need for certification to keep their instructor and program status, CAWA wants to assist them in achieving success.

The Association has established a scholarship program to help these teachers in several ways, including financially.

Automotive Aftermarket Industry Legislative Fly-In - April 28, 2020

The Automotive Aftermarket Industry is joining together for a Legislative Fly-In! Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with others in the industry. Past speakers have included: Chief, Bureau of Automotive Repair; Governor's Small Business Advocate; Governor's Economic Adviser; Chair, Select Committee on Career Technical Education & Workforce Development; Chair, Senate Transportation & Housing Committee.



First Time Attendee Reimbursement Application

Any ASCCA member who has not previously attended an ASCCA Legislative Day event may be nominated by their Chapter President and Chapter Representative to receive travel reimbursement. The reimbursement amounts will not exceed $150 per person for attendees traveling within a 150-mile radius of the event location, or $250 per person for attendees traveling further than 150 miles.

All nominations must be reviewed and approved by ASCCA Government Affairs Committee prior to the event. Click here for the reimbursement request form.
2020 Scholarship Application Open for the ASC Educational Foundation!
ASCEF Scholarship Recipient Jose Villagomez

Applications are currently being accepted for the Automotive Service Councils Educational Foundation (ASCEF) 2020 scholarships! Each year, the ASCEF awards 18 scholarships ranging from $500 - $1,000. These scholarships provide assistance to current under-graduates who are in the automotive service field.

Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2020.

ADA website compliance and web accessibility are two terms that are used interchangeably but they are distinct from one another.
ADA stands for the Americans with Disabilities Act which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability.  Courts are construing Title III of the ADA to mean that websites must be accessible.  Thus, with ADA website compliance, we're referring to the law.
