In memory of MLK and other concerts

I sent this list last week of April concerts with several premieres of my new compositions. However, I made a few mistakes in the dates. I hope you'll fix them in your calendar too so that you can attend.

Please join me at one or more of these concerts by some very fine local musicians.

Karl Henning regularly presents his music at King's Chapel with our little quartet of flutes, clarinet, and horn, plus an pre-recorded soundscape. This time, I'll contribute a new piece Birds on the Harmonic Plain, still in progress. Cross your fingers that I finish it!

In His Own Words: Concert in Memory of Martin Luther King
Five local composers have been commissioned to write new works, setting the words of MLK. Performance poet Regie O'Hare Gibson will introduce each piece, as if we were at a service that MLK might have presided over. Come hear the premiere of my Sweet Princesses (Birmingham 1963) for soprano and string trio, with audience responsive verses.
