June 2022
June is Brain Injury Awareness Month!
AGI is pleased to be joining this national initiative to raise awareness about the prevalence of brain injury, how this can lead to dementia, as well as the need for more support to prevent and treat brain injury.

According to a study conducted in Denmark, individuals with a history of traumatic brain injury have a 24 percent higher risk of developing dementia than those without this history. This risk is increased by 35 percent in those with severe traumatic brain injury.
As part of Brain Injury Awareness Month, AGI is presenting a webinar on “Brain Injury Prevention reduces the risks of developing Dementia" with guest speaker by Dr. Michael Hennes. You can register online or call the AGI Office at 514.485.7233.
