The 2020 annual event was held on March 10th at the Galion Grace Point Church, Christian Life Center on Portland Way N. in Galion with 135 area business leaders and community members in attendance. Breakfast was catered by the Avita Nutritional Services.
Speakers for the event included; Dawn Ratliff, ADM Benefit Plans Agency; Matt Henderson, Superintendent, Crestline Exempted Village Schools; Jim Grubbs, Superintendent, Galion City Schools; Erin Stine, Community Development Director, Crawford Partnership; Jim Mayes, President/ CEO, J&F Construction; Tom O’Leary, Mayor, City of Galion; Linda Horning-Pitt, Mayor, Village of Crestline; and Riordan McClain, 87

Speakers spoke about their accomplishments from the previous year, new construction, products or services in 2019, expectations and changes for 2020 and the challenges they face.

The chamber held a ribbon cutting February 23rd at Susan's Doggy Spa, 228 N. Seltzer Street in Crestline to celebrate them moving to their new location in the alley. This location allowed them to expand and offer more space for your pets!

The March 19th and April 16th Galion Safety Council meetings have been cancelled in light of the state of emergency declared by Governor DeWine and as advised by the BWC due to concerns surrounding the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
If you are working towards your FY20 rebate, one (1) meeting credit for March and one (1) meeting credit for April will be awarded to your company.
BWC encourages the public to stay up to date on the latest COVID-19 information by visiting the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) website

and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. ODH has a call center open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. to answer questions regarding COVID-19. The call center can be reached at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH (1-833-427-5634).

Chamber Announces New Administrative Assistant
Candy Yocum has joined the Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce as their Administrative Assistant. She is originally from the Galion area and previously worked at the Crawford County Council on Aging. Candy is very involved in the Crawford County community and currently serves on Bucyrus City Council, is active with the Crawford Park District and is a member of the Bucyrus Kiwanis.
