CANCELLED: Clear Lake B.O.P.A. and March Electronic Recycling Event

Hous ton, TX - Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin would like to make Clear Lake and Southeast Houston area residents aware the Solid Waste Management Department's (SWMD) Batteries, Oil, Paint (latex only) and Antifreeze (B.O.P.A) event scheduled for Saturday, March 21 has been cancelled.

SWMD has also made the decision to cancel the monthly electronic recycling event scheduled for this Saturday, March 14.

These cancellations are in response to an announcement made yesterday, March 11, by Mayor Sylvester Turner who declared a Public Health Emergency due to COVID-19. As a result of the emergency order, all City of Houston sponsored, produced and permitted events will be postponed or cancelled through the end of March.
