Free Art Classes for Fulfillment
Auguste Rodin description of art is very meaningful - “The main thing is to be moved, to love, to hope, to tremble, to live”. There might not be a better way of describing something that can give your life extreme fulfillment, even during a pandemic. Art gives a way to express yourself and a way to get your feelings out in a healthy manner. Not only can it improve your mood, it can be a hobby that you mold and grow over time. The following classes will help improve your artistic knowledge and give you insight of how art has developed.
This class by John Berger takes place in four different 30 minute increments on Youtube. In these classes, Berger looks into how photography has shaped our view of art from the past. This link begins with the first thirty minute class, while the second, third and fourth installations can be found in these links or on Youtube.
Digital cameras are a very powerful tool when in the right hands. By viewing and learning from the 18 lectures involved in this course, you will be a much more proficient digital photographer. You will learn the ins and outs of the field while taking better pictures than ever before!
This class is styled much more like an online college course. With courses and assignments that are prepared to last six weeks, you will learn about the meaning of pictures and their role in our culture. This course will help you look at and understand the photography you view daily!
This class by John Walsh takes a look into eleven different historical paintings and examines their history. If you've always wondered how to approach viewing art and how to see the story behind the picture, this is the perfect course to take!
Lastly is a class that mixes philosophy and art. With a look into Plato, Aristotle, and Kants writings on art, followed by a focus on questions about understanding art, literature and the definition of art, you will be well-versed in field following these lectures.
