NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Attention all Juniors and Seniors. It's that time of year again...National Honor Society is looking for some great NEW members. If you have a total unweighted GPA of 3.65 or higher and are interested in submitting a Candidate Information Packet (C.I.P.) for consideration, you must attend a MANDATORY information meeting on Sept 1, 2021 at 6:30 PM via TEAMS. We will go over the guidelines and expectations for NHS as well as how to fill out your packet. This meeting will provide students with information regarding what is considered acceptable community service, citizenship, and meritorious leadership. STUDENTS must register for the TEAMS meeting by Tuesday, August 31, 3PM in order to access the meeting.   Meeting reservation form. Please make sure you attend as this is the only way you will be allowed to submit a C.I.P. for consideration.
Any questions, please contact PVPHS NHS adviser, Mrs Borstel via Teams or by email at [email protected]

The list of eligible Juniors and Seniors can be found HERE
CSF
You may be eligible to join California’s oldest honor society, the California Scholarship Federation. Check the lists outside of H65 and the Hawthorne Office to see if you qualify. If your name is not on the list, please see or email the advisor as it may be a clerical error.
Applications are available in H65 and the Hawthorne Office. Fall collection begins next Monday, Aug. 30 at lunch in H65 only. Collections end Wednesday, Sept. 15 at lunch, but don’t wait until the last minute to turn in the form. Membership is $25 and make out the check to PVPHS-CSF with the student’s name on the memo line. Freshmen are not eligible to apply at this time as they have not yet earned grades in high school. No late applications are accepted, and you must use the official PVPHS application form. Contact Mrs. Okamoto at [email protected] with questions.
