First Reading:
Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting; the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her a reward for her labors, and let her works praise her at the city gates.
(Prv 31:30-31)
Second Reading:
For all of you are children of the light
and children of the day. We are not of the night or of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep as the rest do, but let us stay alert and sober.
(1 Thes 5:5-6)
Gospel
“His master said to him, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master’s joy.’” (Mt 25:21)

A Message from our Parish Pastor, Father Phil
|
|
Dear Parishioners:
Once again, I find myself trying to compose a message to you early in the week – before the news of the week breaks. Last week, it was the outcome of the 2020 Presidential elections; this week it’s the release of the long-awaited Vatican report on former Cardinal and Archbishop of Washington, DC Theodore McCarrick’s rise to power within the Church in the face of what seem to be widely-known instances of sexual abuse of seminarians. In response to the rise of COVID-19 cases in our county, and for the safety
of our faith family, all parish buildings will be closed for in-person
meetings and gatherings from November 16 - January 11.
Visits to the parish office are available by appointment. You are welcome to contact the office by phone (892-4006) or email (sjbparish@sjbplymouth.org) and use the secure drop box near the entrance for deliveries. During this time, the following activities will continue as scheduled: Masses, reception of sacraments, Eucharistic adoration, school and faith formation classes and Grab and Go Meals. Other gatherings should plan to meet virtually when possible. Please continue to pray reverently for the sick and suffering, their caregivers, and an end of this virus. Let us pray for our parish and each other as well.

SJB Road America Concessions Closes the Season!
With the help of dedicated volunteers and staff, we made it through the 2020 race season at the Road America concession stand. New stand, COVID precautions and staff changes definitely made it an extraordinary year. We are still waiting for some credits and invoices before we are able to finalize the season’s profit.
We owe a huge thanks to Debbie Hertel for seeing us through the season. Debbie is retiring (again) this year and we hope she spends her summer weekends enjoying time up-north with family. There have been some volunteers that we would like to especially recognize for there consistent support this year and before… Steve Lutze, Joyce Federwisch, Tim Hughes, Joel Pierce, Chuck & Betty Bunge, Tony Mischo, Gina Hoefler, Michael Svitter, Mike Brink and last but not least, Fr. Phil.
During the season, several of our faculty volunteered their time, Dan McMullen, Jen Stielow, Angela Heinz, special thanks to Kathy Burch and Shelly Birenbaum. It’s not possible to thank everyone who helped get us through this year but as the saying goes, "it takes a parish/school' to make it happen!

A Message from the School Principal, Mrs. Amy Nelson
|
|
We are blessed to provide some normalcy for our students. The students have been busy learning and enjoying time outside. Even though they are wearing masks, social distancing, and are having to wash hands more frequently, they are simply enjoying being together in person with their teachers and friends. For those students who have chosen to learn remotely, the teachers do their best to accommodate their needs and include them in class via goggle meet. Together, with the strength of God, we will remain strong.

2020 Soles for Catholic Education
The Soles Walk started in 2013 as a way for Archdiocese of Milwaukee parishes and schools to come together and celebrate Catholic education, build community and raise funds that remain at each school. Yes, that’s right – each dollar raised for a school stays at that school to directly benefit students and classrooms. Each school sets their own fundraising goal. Our goal is set at $5,000. The "walk" was held on October 17, however there is still time to help us meet our fundraising goal. Every dollar raised will benefit our school family! We hope you will support our efforts by making a secure online donation. Register and donate to help support St. John the Baptist School's technology program using the Catholic Schools Walk link below:
