The 2020 Holiday Season
will be different...
but it will still be Holy.

Here's what's coming up...
Messages of Thanksgiving: It's been a difficult year in many ways...but when we take a moment to reflect, what fills our heart with gratitude? Record a short video telling us what you are grateful for this Thanksgiving and send it to Michael at mjennings22@outlook.com by the end of the day on Saturday 11/21 in order to be included in a special video that will be shared on Thanksgiving Day. All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate! We can't wait to see your faces and hear your voices!

Angel's Arms: Gifts for the McDaniel Family. We are sponsoring Christmas gifts for a family through Angel's Arms. The family consists of a mom (Kasondra) and 4 kids: a 14 year old boy (Joshua), a 12 year old boy (Sam), a 10 year old girl (Mary), and a 9 year old girl (Christina).

Here's how we're asking folks to participate:

Step 1: Please review the gift requests and click the button to sign up to provide the funds in order for Lisa Rees, our New Song mission/outreach coordinator, to purchase them. To simplify things and make it as safe as possible for all, Lisa will do the ordering, wrapping, and gift delivery. (Thank you , Lisa!)

Step 2: Once you have decided which gift(s) you would like to sponsor, we suggest checking on Amazon to find out the approximate cost as a guide for your donation amount.

Step 3: You may then send the funds via Tithe.ly (use the "Give To" drop down menu to select "Family Help" and include the memo/note, "Angel's Arms" or via check made out to New Song Church and mailed to 18536 Bridlegate Ln, Wildwood MO 63069).

Please contact Lisa Rees at thereesranch@gmail.com with any questions.

Reverse Advent Calendars: We invite you to participate in this opportunity to help others during the Advent season by putting together a reverse Advent calendar box of food items using the guide below. The boxes will be collected and dropped off the week after Christmas, and we will reach out with those details as we draw closer to that time. Families with children may enjoy putting together the Advent calendar itself to add to the fun and excitement of the season-- they can place a word or picture behind each day for the kids to uncover.
Advent Wreaths at Home: Every year, we enjoy lighting the Advent candles in the chapel. Even though we can't be physically together this year to light the candles, we invite you to create your own version of an Advent wreath (however simple or elaborate you make it is up to you!) and light the candles along with Rex while you watch the video services each week. Children especially may enjoy being a part of recreating this holy tradition at home. Here are a few examples to help spark your creativity.
The Longest Night: On December 21, the longest night of the year, Rex will be sharing an at-home worship service especially geared towards those of us who are struggling. If you are grieving, if you are lonely, if you are in need of comfort, please don't miss this service.

Christmas Eve: Save the Date! Something is in the works...it will be outdoors, brief but delightful, and just after dark on the most holy of nights, December 24.
