Work with us:

Our team of shelvers makes sure that materials in our library are accessible and alluring to our patrons by sorting, accurately shelving, and tidying our collection of books, magazines, DVDs, and other materials. The ideal candidate is organized, enthusiastic about libraries and reading, and works well with others.

The successful applicant will be required to work a variety of weekday and weekend shifts; it is a suitable position for students with availability during after school, evening and weekend hours.

May is Asian Heritage Month

Read Asian authors and uplift Asian and Asian-Canadian stories, this month and every month. We have put together a selection of excellent books by authors of Asian heritage, as a starting place, access the book list here:
It's Squamish Youth Week! Upcoming Youth Week Events:
TONIGHT, Thursday, May 5: Youth can hang out at Zephyr Café downtown for free.
There will be live music, games, prizes, and the first 50 people get a free drink & pastry.

Friday, May 6: Youth 11-18 can join Hoop Reel for free drop in basketball from 7-9pm at Don Ross Middle School

Saturday, May 7: Youth can ice skate for $2 from 12-2:15 at Brennan Park, learn the martial art of Aikido from 3-5pm for $5, and join The Little Bookshop downtown for a poetry session/workshop for $10!

Transport yourself back in time to all the elegance and gentility of the turn of the 19th century. Join The Howe Sound Performing Arts Association for a traditional full afternoon tea featuring decadent sweet and savoury finger foods accompanied by readings from the work of Jane Austen and musical performances.
