THIS SUNDAY'S SERVICE
REV. FLORENCE CAPLOW
Sunday, March 1 at 10:15 a.m. in Sanctuary

Our Soul Matters theme for March is “Wisdom”. Wisdom is a word we don’t hear so much these days, but great thinkers from Plato onward have recognized wisdom as one of the virtues that lead to a good life. How do we find sources of wisdom, in the world or in our own hearts, especially in these confusing and fast-paced times? We will celebrate the quiet power of wisdom. The Children's Choir will be signing!

This is also Pledge Sunday, marking the end of our four week Generosity Campaign to support our church and programs for the coming year. Please feel free to bring your pledge form on Sunday if you have not already submitted one.

Join us in person or in spirit for Pledge Sunday! Pledge now or on Sunday. Your generous pledge makes this church community possible and can make our bold plans a reality. Every pledge matters! Please pledge at whatever level you are able.

Leadership Circle – Join Today
There are now 112 people in the Leadership Circle! There is still time to join them. Raise your pledge by 15% or give a one-time gift to the Ministerial set-aside fund to bring an Associate Minister here.

Thank You! Your generosity is astounding! Come celebrate this Sunday with cake and good cheer!

UPCOMING SUNDAY SERVICES
REV. FLORENCE CAPLOW
Sunday, March 8 at 10:15 a.m. in Sanctuary

Sometimes we imagine that wisdom lives only in our heads, but our bodies and hands have great wisdom as well. It is in how we respond to the world with our hands and our hearts, in embodied service, that wisdom and hope can grow. So many at UUCUC give with their hands – serving at the soup kitchen, making meals for those sick at home, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, handing out programs on Sunday morning, opening the door to visitors, even holding the hand of another who is suffering. Let’s celebrate the wisdom of our own two hands. The UUCUC choir will be singing. We will also have some very special guest singers.
REV. BILL BREEDEN
Sunday, March 15 at 10:15 a.m. in Sanctuary

From Aesop to Orwell, and times in between and after both, the animal world has given us a lens through which to see ourselves. So it is with this strange incident involving a Rooster in our flock.  It might not be a lot to crow about, but then again, it just might.

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news that our cousin, Ella, passed away this week after a three year battle with cancer. She was 20 years old. Ella's fight and her death remind us to let love be our guide in all we do, to not sweat the small stuff and to be grateful for every single day. May you rest in peace, Ella. We will carry you with us always.

Just finished my first week working at Community Choices. I am excited to return to focusing on HR training and development.

BOOK DISCUSSION OF FINISH STRONG IN APRIL

It's hard to talk about death and dying, so most of us don't ever do it. "How and where will I die?" might be the most expensive question never to have asked. More, "How do I want my death to go?" might be the most emotionally costly discussion never to have had with your friends and family.  Read more...
