LaNishka Farrington-McSweeney

LaNishka is a Partner in the Cayman Islands office of EY’s Banking & Capital Markets Sector. She has over 18 years of diversified financial services industry experience as an auditor, advisor or industry consultant primarily in The Bahamas & Cayman Islands. LaNishka specializes in financial services: retail banking, private banking, wealth management & asset management. LaNishka holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) Degree from Acadia University, Nova Scotia, Canada and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. She is also a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants and the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Gillian Owen
Director, Aon
Gillian is a Director of Aon Cayman and oversees Aon Cayman’s captive accounting and finance department. Gill’s team includes a number of Vice Presidents, Assistant Vice Presidents, Senior Account Managers and Account Managers that provide comprehensive management services to the Aon Cayman portfolio captive insurance clients. Companies under management include captives belonging to numerous hospitals, physician groups and large multinational organizations. Gill brings many years of accounting and offshore insurance management experience to the position of Director. She began her career with Arthur Andersen in 1994, and moved to the Cayman Islands with Price Waterhouse in 1997. Following which she worked for Marsh, JLT and USA Risk Group before joining Aon Cayman in January 2015.
Rebecca Palmer
Director, DMS Governance
Rebecca Palmer is an independent professional director at DMS and is based in the Cayman Islands. Rebecca specialises in the provision of services to a comprehensive variety of investment vehicles such as hedge funds, structured products and private equity funds. Rebecca has extensive experience covering a wide range of fund structures and a variety of strategies covering multiple jurisdictions. A chartered accountant, Rebecca joined DMS from KPMG where she was an audit director in the asset management practice, overseeing Cayman funds for a variety of global managers, ranging from new launches to established multibillion-dollar managers. Rebecca is on the education committee of 100 Women in Finance. She holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations from Reading University, UK. She has completed the Masterclass in Private Equity at London Business School and the Women in Leadership program at SAID Business School, University of Oxford. Rebecca is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales and is a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants. She is currently studying for the CFA’s ESG certificate.
Kimberly Tibbetts
Chief Marketing Officer, Maples Group
Kimberly Tibbetts is the Chief Marketing Officer for the Maples Group. She is responsible for leading and developing the Group’s global Marketing function, a position she has held since 2010. She has worked in the financial services industry for over 16 years and has extensive experience in communications, business development, client relationship management and digital marketing. Kimberly has a demonstrated history of effective team leadership, having built expert teams based in the Caribbean, Americas, Europe and Asia, and has spearheaded a number of strategic initiatives across global offices, to deliver innovative solutions and support in an increasingly competitive landscape.
Christina Bodden
Partner, Maples Group
Christina is a partner of Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office. She specialises in the structuring of private equity funds and advising on the related downstream transactions. She also works extensively with major institutions and hedge fund managers and their onshore counsel, advising on the structuring and ongoing operation of all aspects of investment funds. Additionally, Christina has particular expertise in hedge fund side letter arrangements and fund restructurings. Christina joined the Maples Group's Funds team in 2004 and was elected as a partner in 2012. She has been recognised as a leading lawyer by Legal 500. Christina is a co-founder of the Cayman Islands branch of 100 Women in Finance and was elected to their Global Association Board and its Advisory Council Chair. She has previously served on the 100 Women in Finance Cayman Island main local committee and philanthropic sub-committee. She is a regional co-director of the Cayman Islands chapter of the Hedge Fund Association (HFA).
