Ballet Folklórico Tapatío
Swirls of color and vibrant sound wrap up Cool Summer Nights with a bilingual celebration of the Sonoran Desert's Hispanic heritage. Popular Spanish entertainers include Tesoro, Los Changitos Feos, and Eduardo Costa, and the swirling dance of Ballet Folklórico Tapatío. Activities include an Animals & Ancient Cultures of Mexico presentation, interpretive docent stations, and guided tours of the grounds. Join us for this very special bicultural fiesta on Saturday, September 5!

The Desert Museum's Annual Plant Sale is just around the corner!  Plan your fall garden from more than 250 species of plants specific to gardening conditions in the Sonoran Desert. Search the online database to create a personalized garden - annual color, patio plants and specific types of plants such as grasses and vines for landscaping. Create a butterfly garden for migrating Monarchs and you can apply to become a Monarch Waystation like the Desert Museum! Consult the Museum's botanical experts for advice
on making your fall gardening a success!

BLUE MOON

Full Moon Festival
Celebrate the visual and performing arts at the Cool Summer Nights  Full "Blue Moon" Festival. Check out the newest photography techniques at the Cool Photo Tools workshop. Kids can sing and dance with The Napskippers and Mr. Nature's Music Garden. Parisian troubadour Naim Amor plays classic French Pop and Jazz Telephone brings the rhythms of the world to life. Family art activities complete a truly enchanted evening.  Saturday, August 29.
