Holiday Mini-Fair

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Non-profit organizations serving Acton will offer a wide range of gift items at the Holiday Mini-Fair. The Mini-Fair is a great place to pick up hostess gifts, Yankee swap items or remembrances of the season for friends or neighbors who lent a hand during the year.
Items available include baked goods, books, pewter snowflakes and ornaments, bird house kits, jewelry, Acton magnets, mugs, glasses, knitted and quilted items, notecards, t-shirts, Christmas ornaments and cards, calendars, and Arthur Davis giclees.
A wonderful opportunity to find unique local gifts while supporting organizations that are part of the greater Acton community!
The snow date is December 14.

Read to a Dog!*

Young readers can make a 15-minute appointment to read aloud to a great dog. Molly & Luna have both gone to school to become therapy dogs, so they are perfect listeners.

Celebration of
Little Women
Movie Showing:
Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.
Help celebrate the more than 150 years of delightful, heartfelt reading by joining with fellow admirers to watch and read the American classic Little Women by Concord resident Louisa May Alcott. The library will show the 1994 version of the movie. We encourage you to see the newest movie remake of the story during the holidays and also read or reread the novel. In late January we will meet at the library to discuss what we saw and read. Copies of the novel are available in the Minuteman Library Network and after December 1, copies will be at the circulation desk. No registration is necessary and everyone is welcome.
One adult must remain at the library with each family group for the duration of the program.

Children up to 23 months old and their grown-ups are invited to rhyme, bounce, and read with other little ones and their caregivers.
Tremendous Twos Story Time
Tuesdays, 11 to 11:45 a.m.
Children 24 to 36 months old and their grown-ups are invited to enjoy stories, songs, finger play, and more to foster a love of books and early language development.
Preschool Story Time
Thursdays, 10 to 11 a.m.
December 5, 12 & 19
Children ages 3 to 7 are invited for an interactive story time with picture books, music, and movement, followed by a craft.
No registration is required.

Dora & the Lost City of Gold

Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle, nothing could prepare Dora for her most dangerous adventure yet -- high school. Accompanied by a ragtag group of teens and Boots the monkey, Dora embarks on a quest to save her parents while trying to solve the seemingly impossible mystery behind a
lost Incan civilization.
One adult must remain at the library with each family group for the duration of the program. The library is not open for other services.

AML Long Range Plan
Acton Memorial Library has recently completed a Long Range Plan for Fiscal Years 2020-2024. This document sets the goals AML will be working on for the next few years. It includes feedback from the community and staff. The goals focus on library collections, facilities, staffing, technology, and AML's role as a community and cultural center. You can find the plan here.
