It's Almost Rummage Sale Time
It's time to do some spring cleaning! Clear out your closets, basement, and garage and donate to the Rummage Sale. Missions Outreach will use the funds raised to support missions here, near, and far away. Household textiles, clothing, and small household goods are being collected. All items must be clean and in sellable condition.

BakerYouth News
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7
Walking in faith takes time, practice, and intentionality. Often times as we grow closer to Christ, we also grow closer in our relationships with others. Over the past several months, the BakerYouth have had many opportunities to grow in their faith. We give thanks for the relationships we have built as we grow in faith.
Sunday, May 15, we were blessed with our first Tri-City Confirmation with 27 confirmands, 14 from Baker Memorial UMC. Thank you to the parents, confirmands, and 5 Pastors from Baker Memorial UMC, Batavia UMC and UMC of Geneva. We appreciate each mentor who also came alongside their confirmand: Isie Barclay, Sandie Benhart, Steve Coon, Kristin Fischer, Cheryl Freiberger, Jeanne Fornari, Sarah Hardwick, Pete Konopacki, Kathy Olivarez, Allan Scales, Jayne Scales Kim Starr, Kristine Torio, Dave Wilson, and Jon Zenker. Again, congratulations to each confirmand as you continue your journey as new members at Baker Memorial UMC.

On April 24 we celebrated Earth Day with the event Bags, Bags, & More Bags as Tri-City Youth. We made bags out of used t-shirts, made lunch bag flower bombs, learned about God’s creation and our role of reducing, reusing and recycling, had bagged lunch from Bezo’s and played some friendly bag games. See photos below.
This August 2-5 we are heading to Pawnee, IL to serve. It is so important to continue to grow and be built up in your faith. One way to do that is through serving. We have opened the Mission Trip up to anyone over 11 years old – 100 years old. We would love to have you join us! Act fast, the last day to register is Sunday, May 22. Register today at tinyurl.com/bakeryouthmissiontrip
