END OF THE ROAD FOR MATSIKO 2017-2018 |
|
Matsiko 2017-18 is just finishing up their eight and a half month USA tour, and the world is just a little bit better because of their tremendous impact! These 25 children visited 35 states and encouraged and amazed countless schools, churches, and retirement homes. Additionally, they enjoyed visiting the White House, House of Congress, Grand Canyon, museums, stadiums and the oceans on both coasts.
During their time in the US, the children have all imp
roved their skills in reading, writing, math (at the Algebra level!) and speaking English. The
Matsiko experience has prepared each one of
them to attend university in
their home countries. Because of the educational sponsorships they have gained, all of the children will now be able to complete their education through their nation's highest university or vocational levels without worrying about tuition!
In addition to the Matsiko children who were blessed because of this USA tour, countless orphaned and at-risk children around the world have also In addition to the Matsiko children who were blessed
! 900 children who have never before had the chance for a complet
e education now have a new sponsor so they can attend school and study through the university level! Plans have been made for schools to be built in Liberia and Peru, and plans are underway for Nepal
and the Philippines all because of you!
Because of your continued support, entire countries will feel the impact of Matsiko due to ICN's efforts to build schools, national theaters, and music schools and studios in Liberia, Peru, Nepal, the Philippines, and other countries. These things are all made possible because of the support
that each Matsiko choir has gained as they have shared their message of HOPE across the country. We are looking forward to bringing the next Matsiko World Orphan Choir to the US during the later part of 2018, and we hope to bring them to a city near you! We know that none of this would be possible without your love and support, and for that we are eternally grateful! Thank you!

ICN has many great projects happening, and we would love to have YOU involved as we continue to provide life-changing support for children around the world. Here are some opportunities for you to get involved:
Support Dentists on a Mission to Provide Dental Care
Countless members of the Liberian population -- children, grown women and men -- have never received dental care in their lives. If you've ever experienced the excruciating and overwhelming pain of a simple cavity that goes unchecked, then you know the need for someone to come and spare the children and others from this pain. In May, a team of dentists will be traveling to Liberia to volunteer their time to offer life-changing dental care to the people there. ICN is raising money to help provide the portable dental equipment the dentists will need and to help with their travel expenses. After the trip to Liberia, we will begin to make plans for the dentists to visit Nepal. If you are interested in bringing relief to suffering children and adults, please consider donating today! Be a Part of ICN'S Upcoming Service Trips
ICN will be taking several incredible service trips this summer, and you are welcome to be a part of any one of them!
Join our dental team in Liberia May 15th - 25th. In addition to helping and supporting the dentists, you will also work with Matsiko, help with sponsorship in many villages, help build community water wells, teach math, reading and writing to children who do not go to school, and visit your
sponsored child face-to-face in his or her home country!
Visit India June 1st - 15th and witness firsthand India's amazing gains for its orphaned and at-risk children through the work of ICN. You will have opportunities to visit New Delhi, the Taj Mahal, and the areas where ICN's sponsored children live. You can help with vital ICN sponsorship work in
New Delhi, Bangalore and possibly Manipur during your trip. Take your sponsored child shopping, help Matsiko as they work with the street children and those in care homes, and really experience India at the ground level. You will be welcomed with open arms by your sponsored child and those who partner with ICN.
Experience Nepal June 16th - June 29th! Shop in Kathmandu and see the many temples, visit the ICN & Matsiko children in the mountains of Nepal, be a part of the sponsorship process, help the children with their schooling, and prepare the new Matsiko children for their US tour. There will also be opportunities to help with plans for building more schools and cultural arts centers, as well as meeting with commmunity officials on ways to improve the lives of Nepal's orphaned and at-risk children.
Break ground with Liberia's first National Children's Theater August 31st - September 14th! Join trained directors and actors as they prepare Liberian children for their first national play (the Wiz Jr). Opening night is September 8th! There will also be opportunities to help with national soccer and kickball tournaments, sponsorship work, schooling and preparing the new Matsiko children for their US tour. At the end of this trip, you will have the chance to travel with Matsiko as they come to the US for their 2018-19 tour! Don't miss this historic event!
