COVID-19 Update
O God, who in this wonderful Sacrament have left us a memorial of your Passion, grant us, we pray, so to revere the sacred mysteries of your Body and Blood that we may always experience in ourselves the fruits of your redemption.

(from the Collect Prayer of the Feast of Corpus Christi)
Dear Friends in Christ,

We continue our prayers for Kathie Cooper and her recovery. We have been told that she came through the surgery well and she and Todd hope to return to Portland sometime next week.

Note that Baker, Benton, Clatsop, Columbia, Coos, Crook, Curry, Deschutes, Douglas, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Jackson, Jefferson, Josephine, Klamath, Lake, Lane, Linn, Malheur, Morrow, Sherman, Tillamook, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, Wasco, Wheeler and Yamhill Counties are approved for Phase II Reopening, while Clackamas, Hood River, Lincoln, Polk, Marion and Washington Counties remain in Phase I.  Multnomah County’s application for Phase I status has been rejected and Governor Brown has put a hold on the applications for the counties seeking Phase II approval (Hood River, Polk and Marion) . This means that for parishes in Multnomah County and the Phase I Counties, gathering limits remain at 25 and those workers who can perform their jobs remotely are required to do so.  For more information about Guidelines for Faith-Based Gatherings in Phase II Counties, see the latest OHA FAQ   HERE

MOTHERS IN NEED
Walking with Moms in Need: A Year of Service during the Coronavirus Pandemic
When more than 20% of the workforce is unemployed or underemployed, when parents struggle with balancing life and home schooling, every pregnancy may be challenging. Each parish is asked to identify its available local pregnancy help resources and conduct an honest assessment of its efforts in assisting pregnant women in need. Each parish should identify potential gaps that need to be addressed – in short, to truly and concretely accompany each pregnant woman in need. Learn more about this USCCB initiative  HERE  . Re-Imagining What a Catholic Parish Can Be: A Destination for the 21 st  Century
Parishes are longing to “return to normal” after this time of social distancing, working from home and seemingly constant Zoom meetings, but it appears unlikely that is going to happen. Instead, we are going to have to adapt and adjust to a new normal. In our thinking about strategic and effective ways to share the gospel, it is paramount that we do our best to accurately assess what time we are living in, and adapt and adjust accordingly. Read the white paper from ACTS XXIX  HERE
