Christmas is right around the corner, so order gifts for children and grandchildren that will help them have fun and strive for holiness. Vocation Backpacks, specifically geared toward boys or girls, are full of books and a bear that will be a favorite for families with younger children. Would you like your children/grandchildren to play Mass? We offer children's vestments for those 3-5 years old and 6-8 years old, too.
Ministry in Action
National Vocation Awareness Week
St. Vincent de Paul in
Houston, Texas

"We obtained multiple posters of the seminarians and religious in formation for our archdiocese and gave them to the two religion classes at our parish school and to the parish office to be posted in high traffic areas at the entrances to the church.

The banner and two posters (pictured right) were placed in the narthex of the church for the week to raise awareness by parishioners. We had intercessions of thanksgiving for our priests at each of the Masses on November 3rd, and we added a Prayer for Priests from St Therese of Lisieux to the festivities for All Saints Day at our Parish Family Center. The kids from religious education and preschool had an All Saints party and costume contest for which was judged by our parochial vicar.  They ended with the Litany of the Saints and the Priestly Prayer at each session.

We supported a Holy Hour for Vocations that the Young Adult Group organized for the monthly 1st Tuesday evening gathering."

Way to go, St. Vincent de Paul! Keep up the great work!
