2020 Calendar-Support Your Neighborhood
Great Holiday Gift!
The 2020 calendar features fascinating facts about the history of the "Near North Side" of Tucson.  That is the neighborhoods north of the UA and south of North Street (Grant).

Catalina Vista, Sugar Hill, Feldman, Blenman-Elm, and Jefferson Park contributed some of their history to the calendar.  Many of their early residents defined the future of Tucson.
Large calendar - big blocks for keeping track of appointments and meetings.

* 12 inches wide
* 24 inches long

October Quarterly Meeting---Spooky Great!
Spooky service

Spooky food

2020 Census Speaker

Hats and more hats

Many thanks to Laurel-Heather and Dorothy, the creative members of the planning committee.  You outdid yourselves! The hats were a crazy touch.   And thanks to the folks who brought such a variety of "spooky food" - it turned into quite a banquet!
Happy Halloween
Thanks to the Jefferson Park neighbors who organized the "trick or treat" map.  From 6pm to 8pm we had an uptick in goblins, light sabers, dinosaurs, ghosts,  cowboys, and grim reapers.

Not to mention the patient parents who escorted the happy
gruesome crews around in the dark, dark, but beautiful night.  This is what makes memories!
Anyone know this kid??

LAH provides free services to seniors (60 and older) and people with disabilities.  There are no financial requirements!  Its services include transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores, the bank, etc., plus delivery of fresh produce and food boxes, as well as providing incontinent supplies, yard work, minor home repair, a weekly exercise class, a monthly Lunch Social and even more.

All services are free, made possible by caring volunteers.  But, in order to support it all, we do need more volunteers, especially in the summer!  If you're interested in volunteering -- or receiving these services yourself, please contact:  Trish Gehlen at (520) 248-6882 or lahcoordinator@gmail.com.
