HPED has just launched a Township-wide e-gift card program, with over 30 participating businesses!

This year, more than ever before, it is critical that residents shop and dine local. Whether you are a resident purchasing an e-gift card for a birthday or holiday gift or a business using them to thank your customers, this is a great way to support our business community in a meaningful way.

These e-gift cards do not expire and can be redeemed at participating businesses, allowing the recipient to use it where they would like - a restaurant, shop, or with a service provider.

Please consider giving at least one Discover Haverford Keep it Local gift card for Christmas or Hanukkah this year. They would make great teacher gifts and stocking stuffers!

H-Town Holidays Shop Local Day a Big Success!

Our first H-Town Holidays Shop Local Day on 11/28, was great! We received excellent feedback from customers and businesses alike.

Customers who completed the H-Town Holidays Passport by getting four stickers at participating businesses were entered into our raffle of 12 gift baskets!

Thanks to Danielle Foster Creations for escorting Santa around town with a police escort! Santa then joined us at the tree lighting at the Triangle Garden in Oakmont. Thanks to Ranieri & Kerns for the donation of the tree!

Holiday Decorating Contest "People's Choice Award"

Stay tuned: When the winners for our annual Holiday Decorating Contest are announced on December 19th, their displays will be photographed and placed on the HPED website at HPED.org to allow the public to vote for the overall “People’s Choice Award” between December 27-31st.

HPED Welcomes Senorita's Cantina

Already a Havertown favorite, Senorita’s, located at 101 West Eagle Road in Havertown, opened on September 18th to a line of customers excited for authentic Mexican food. Prior to opening, co-owner Luna Hildalgo worked in a local Mexican restaurant, where she met her husband and co-owner, Brendan Thompson. Back in her home country of Venezuela, Luna was an Elementary School teacher. Brendan is a native of Wayne, PA and is an artist by trade. He designed and created the interior decor, from the murals to the hand-crafted the tables.

Adding Winter Greens to the Planters

A group of staff, board members and volunteers worked on greening the planters in time for Shop Local Day.
