ULEND Academy is a hands-on, customized experience that propels lenders from transactional to consultative, meeting members’ full financial needs. The curriculum guides lenders from foundational to advanced skill levels in all lending channels and across all stages of the loan process - origination, underwriting, and closing - with cross-selling, consultation, and compliance woven throughout.
This daylong conference has been developed for those who are in their first few years at the credit union, new to their position at the credit union, or those who are coming to the credit union business from another financial institution or industry. The conference is divided into four sessions, each of which features a topic designed to build knowledge, confidence, professionalism and potential for those individuals who will be the next generation of credit union leaders in Indiana. Lunch and plenty of networking time will be provided.
There have always been “privacy laws,” but the first global law that affected credit unions was the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Now we have GDPR (European Union) and will soon have to deal with CCPA, maybe. So, let’s take some time to review all we have at this point. In the process, we will explore: (1) a brief review of privacy concepts; (2) GLB past and today; (3) review GDPR for reminders and comparisons to CCPA; and (4) assess CCPA in depth (to include scope and who it applies to, assessment rules and requirements, liability and de-risking, and the proposed California AG rules for CCPA). This webinar, presented by Todd Sherpy of Sherpy & Jones, P.A., will guide you through all these topics and more.

We field more than 1,900 questions each year by phone, email or in person. Some of the most common are:
·     How do we handle this issue our member has?
·     Are we in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act?
·     How do we respond to specific regulations?
·     How should we approach planning for the future?
·     What strategic lending initiatives should we consider?
·     How should we react to examiner findings from our recent exam?

Whether you need answers to these questions or have other concerns, pick up the phone or send an email so we can assist.
