County Elections Division Asks Voters to Check Registration for March Primary

"We want to make sure all Contra Costa County voters have a great elections experience,” Acting Registrar of Voters Deborah Cooper said. “It takes just a few seconds to check.”

If a voter moves and has not updated their registration, ballots and voter information will be mailed to the old address. For those who haven’t moved, it’s still important to check party registration status. The March Presidential Primary is a partisan election, and accurate party preference is essential to a voter getting the ballot they want to vote.

Volunteer for the Point in Time Count
January 23, 2020 - 5am-9am

Each year in January, Contra Costa's Homeless Continuum of Care (CoC), with the help of community volunteers, conducts a comprehensive Point In Time (PIT) count of families and individuals experiencing homelessness. This count provides a one-day snapshot of homelessness and is used to highlight the housing and homeless crisis in the county. We need volunteers to help make this count successful.

This year, the PIT count will include on-foot and vehicle canvassing. Most volunteers will be part of a team in a vehicle conducting an observational count. Other staff, service providers, and law enforcement volunteers will be canvassing communities on foot. Volunteers may also elect to support the kick-off events the morning of the count instead of canvassing. Volunteers will not have direct contact with people being observed for the count.

Please complete this form to let us know how you would like to participate in the 2020 Point in Time count.
