CURBSIDE HOURS: Monday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm

Additional services provided:
  • Photocopying services: email your material to [email protected] and we will copy them for you, and deliver them to a space provided at the entrance door.
  • Photocopying services via hard copy: call the Library at 687-7023, #3 to arrange dropping off the materials to be copied and returned.
  • An older version iPad will be available to borrow for 15 minute periods for checking emails in your vehicle. The iPad will be wiped clean each time it is used.
UPDATES will be provided via the library website (stoneridgelibrary.org), the Library's Facebook Page, and Instagram Page as information about the situation becomes available.

We are hopeful that we will be able to resume in-library services as the situation changes.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Programs in the New Year
We look forward to adding new virtual programs this spring, with two art classes and a 19th century guitar concert in the works. Details will be forthcoming in the February newsletter. Our regular ongoing programs will continue virtually, thanks to the generosity of the facilitators who share their expertise with our patrons. In addition, the Library is investigating enhancing outdoor space in which to hold small programs when the weather is nice.

This month we are reading

HOLMES & CO.
Mystery Lovers Book Group
Wednesday, January 20
an 11am Zoom meeting

This month we are reading Detective Inspector Huss by Helene Tursten.
Inspector Irene Huss, stationed in Göteborg, is called through the rain-drenched wintry streets to the scene of an apparent suicide. The dead man landed on the sidewalk in front of his luxurious duplex apartment. He was a wealthy financier connected, through an old-boys' network, with the first families of Sweden. But the "Society Suicide" turns out to have been a carefully plotted murder. As more murders ensue, she tangles with street gang members, skinheads, immigrants and neo-Nazis-a cross-section of Sweden's disaffected-in order to catch the killer.

CLIO'S MUSE
A History Reading Club
Wednesday, January 20, 2021
a 7pm Zoom Meeting

The January book is The Wright Brothers by David McCullough.
McCullough's biography of the Wright Brothers explores their fascination with aviation and the race to be first to create a machine capable of flight. Although the brothers lacked a college education, their mechanical skills and their fascination with birds proved useful in being the first to fly. The brothers, from Dayton,Ohio, found a place in the Kitty Hawk area of North Carolina to test their machine. Eventually the brothers found a place nearer home to continue their experiments.
