Fall Technical Assistance & Training Conference
MSA broke attendance records for this annual event turned virtual conference. Nearly 1,500 attendees listened to speakers who discussed topics ranging from equity to marketing during COVID, to teacher self-care. By combining roundtable breakouts with riveting keynotes and panels, the attendees were able to choose sessions without encountering “virtual conference fatigue.”

Members of Congress at Your School
A notice went out on Tuesday to encourage MSA schools and districts to schedule virtual schools tours and district meetings with Members of Congress, as they will be home in the district during October and November. This is an ideal time to discuss the importance of magnet schools. Read the email.
MSA Partnership
MSA has partnered with The Century Foundation and its Bridges Collaborative. Through this partnership, MSA will work with The Century Foundation to reignite a nationwide movement for integrated schools and diverse neighborhoods. MSA will host a session with the Bridges Collaborative at its annual Policy Conference, to be held virtually February 10-12, 2021.

Virtual Learning Hasn't Slowed Magnet Education Programs
Due to the pandemic, Wake County Public Schools have shifted to virtual learning and the system's magnet schools are no exception. However, the move to remote learning hasn't slowed down the robust offerings and curriculum these magnet schools offer and educators are making every effort to not miss a beat. Read full story.
